A movie dedicated soap fans will love. Betty (Renee Zellweger) is a dedicated soap opera fan and never misses an episode of “A Reason to Love.”
Leonardo DiCaprio is intense as Teddy Daniels in Academy Award winner, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island.
Man on Fire
Two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington is riveting in this powerful performance about hard-drinking, burned-out CIA operative, John Creasy who has given up on life. When his friend, Rayburn (Oscar winner Christopher Walken) sets him up in a job as a bodyguard to nine-year-old Pita Ramos (Dakota Fanning), he slowly begins to find his soul again. When Pita is kidnapped, the rage inside of Creasy is unleashed and he will stop at nothing to save the little girl.
One of Washington’s best performances, he delivers a powerful performance in this riveting, action-packed thriller. Fanning is the sweet, little girl you can’t help but want to protect at all costs. Both characters form a special bond as Washington’s character, Creasy, will do whatever it takes to protect Pita from those trying to harm her. Washington and Fanning will touch your heart and draw you into the drama that unfolds onscreen.
Nurse Betty
A movie dedicated soap fans will love. Betty (Renee Zellweger) is a dedicated soap opera fan and never misses an episode of “A Reason to Love.” After witnessing a tragic accident while watching an episode of “A Reason to Love,” Betty transforms into “Nurse Betty” and sets out on a mission to find her one true love, “Dr. David Ravell” (Greg Kinnear), the hot, sexy doctor from the soap opera. As Betty goes on a wild ride in search of the “Hot Doc,” the hit-men are hot on her trail (Morgan Freeman, Chris Rock). Can she find the man of her dreams before the hit-men find her.
Renee Zellweger is hilarious as Betty as she drives across the country in search of the man of her dreams. Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock are a hoot trying to locate Betty to recover what she unknowingly took from them. Greg Kinnear is the lovable sexy hot Dr. David Ravell a.k.a. George Brown, the doctor on “A Reason to Love.”
Also in the special features of the DVD, are nine short excerpts of the soap opera, “A Reason to Love,” as scene in the movie.
This movie will be a real treat for any soap opera fan who is dedicated to the soaps they watch.
Shutter Island
Leonardo DiCaprio is intense as Teddy Daniels in Academy Award winner, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island. U.S. Marshal, Teddy Daniels arrives at an asylum for the criminally insane on Shutter Island for a routine investigation. But the investigation suddenly takes a sinister turn as he starts to uncover shocking and terrifying truths behind the island where some places never seem to let the past go. The twist at the end of the movie is a real treat for viewers. This was one movie definitely worth watching.
