I have a list of shows that I'd eventually like to watch from start to finish. Living in the age we do, where TV shows are accessible online - through free or monthly fee websites - it has become easier to either catch up on favorite shows or watch the shows from our list.
On my list this last year, I had three shows that I'd like to talk about. They are, BBC's Robin Hood, FOX's Dollhouse, and ABC Family's Wildfire. All of which has come and gone in the last three years. Each has it's own style and uniqueness, but each was canceled. After watching Robin Hood and Dollhouse in their entirety, I can say this, "I should have watched these when they aired originally."
Then I have to ask myself, "Where was I when these were on?"
Currently I am about halfway through the first season of Wildfire and already I am saying what I did about Robin Hood and Dollhouse. That I should have watched when it was airing. I can answer by question of where I was when they were on for Robin Hood, I didn't know I had the channel they air on. But for Dollhouse, it was a scheduling conflict. With Wildfire, I would see the commercials and think, "I so want to watch." But I never did.
BBC's Robin Hood was engaging and thrilling. Robin always got himself in a bid every week; or one of his Merry Men. Each week they would escape the clutches of the Sheriff of Nottingham. If you haven't found this amazing show, you need to. I caught this on Netflix instant watch. Right now they have all three seasons; or series as they call them in the UK.
FOX's Dollhouse, I had a tough go at getting into. It started to feel repeative at times until about the end of season one when the mysteries behind the Dollhouse really start to come out. By the end of the second season I felt as though they could have done so much more, but ratings weren't great, so naturally instead of letting a show find it's footing after less than 30 episodes spanning two seasons it was axed.
ABC Family's Wildfire, I am just starting to watch and already I am enthralled by Kris' story of forgiveness and learning to forgive and forget. Now I wish I would have watched when it aired on ABC Family. But now I won't have to wait between cliffhanger episodes. For that I am grateful.
Regardless of ratings these three shows I should have watched while they were on the air. Like I said with Robin Hood, if you haven't had the chance...go for it. You might find some gems out there that have been sitting on your list for ages! Happy watching!
