An amazing Hindi song that I love
Music has no language. It has only melody. I enjoy music in English, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu,Telugu and Sanskrit.
I would like to share an amazing Hindi song that I love to hear again and again.
Here it is:
I'm sharing this song here so that my Wikinut friends can also enjoy its melody, though they may not know the language of the Song.
This song is from a famous Hindi movie, "Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se". The title song of “Ankhiyon Ke Jharokon Se” is the masterpiece sung by Hemlata.
This song is an out-of-the-world experience to me. Hemlata sang it as if she had experienced the same emotional breakdown as the character enacting it.
Here's a wonderful excerpt from the review about the song from planetbollywood
"Like a flower trying to hold on to her garden in the middle of a ferocious storm, the lyrics portray a woman who is on the verge of emotional breakdown but struggling to stay happy on the outside for the sake of her beloved. A touching image is created from Hemlata’s powerfully stirring voice, that of tears being on the tips of a young woman’s eyelashes but never actually running down her soft cheeks".
Lyrics and translation of "Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se"
English translation:
From the windows of my eyes, what I saw you know, O my love!
I saw you afar, I saw you very far away
Then I closed the windows of my eyes and sat thinking
I saw you smiling in my heart, I saw you smiling
I had a heart with me but now I am losing it
I feel something is happening to me as I held you.
I am just sitting, ignoring everything just for you.
Let the life just pass like that, let it pass with you only
I live looking at you, I die for you
Wherever you are, my love, my world is there only
day and night, my heart asks for the blessings for you
let the flowers of our hopes not wither away
I am tinged in the hues of your love.
While awake I cannot sleep, and I’m awake while asleep
Lest someone snatch my love-filled dreams,
my heart throbs at this thought, my heart throbs.

I love listening to this song! It is so romantic, full of emotions, mystery, and, love. The language is so beautiful and enchanting!!!! It reminds me a little bit of the Lebanese/Arabic singing! Wish I could learn to sing like that!!!

You truly echo my heart.
I was at a loss for words while writing this page.
I think I wanted to say exactly what you've written: "I love listening to this song! It is so romantic, full of emotions, mystery, and, love.".
I'm not aware of Lebanese songs, but I too have felt a melody of an Arabic singing in this song.

And as you said, the language is so beautiful and enchanting!
The words are saying more than their lexical descriptions when you hear them being sung by Hemlata with such an enchantingly touching expression!

I'm delighted to get such a wonderful comment from you.
Can't wait more. I must listen to your song.
Italian is like Telugu which is my mother tongue.
Telugu is known as the 'Italian of the East'.

Dear Ratnaji,
Excellent review of the song.
Sometimes back you asked me that whether I write in Knoji. I wrote 60 articles. Then I got a ban. For more than 2 months the ban in on.
Do you also write in Knoji? What is the manner of appealing for lifting the ban?
Warm regards,
Souvik Chatterji.
