This is about a young woman who has made it to the top of her profession of cooking. Her journey through the diverse ways of cuisine and restaurants to where now she is in Los Angeles' famed La Brea Avenue.
The Beginnings...
Nicole Ball started working in a small cafe making delicious breakfasts and soon found herself immersed in the love of creating dishes. She attended Culinary School in San Francisco in 1993 and graduated with a Woman's Scholarship. Then did an internship at Green's famous Vegetarian and different restaurants studying various cuisines, including Greek and Sushi. She dabbled in baking for a while at Joseph's Cabaret & Juice Joint in the Castro district before moving to a wealthy Retirement Home in San Raphael - the Lucas Valley Smith Ranch. Their busy dining room gave her the opportunity to practice her skills and gain more experience.
New York City with its multi diverse restaurant scene came forward and soon Ball was busy running the kitchen at the original Bloomingdale Shop in Soho. This she found to be too corporate so moved on to become a fancy chef at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain, a 300 seater restaurant..
More Movement...
Then in 2007 Los Angeles beckoned and Ball came to the city of angels and ran the kitchen at Backstage in the Sunset Tower Hotel. A small stint doing Private Catering at Food Inc. gave her a different take on food preparation and presentation so when 3Twenty Wine Bar and Lounge opened in June 2011 she was a awesome ball of knowledge on varied foods, preparation and concepts for the owner, Edgar Poureshagh, to take aboard as his Chef de Cuisine.
Her passion for prepping, cooking and inventing new menus endeared her to the clients of 3Twenty. Lunchtime and dinner menus reflect this gift. Ball uses seasonal foods for the small but diverse menu and rotates new items she finds at the farmer's market in Santa Monica..a mecca for chefs of any note.
Years of Experience....
Years of experience of combining has taught her how to create the exquisite small dishes she and 3Twenty has become known for. Besides the enjoyment of the cuisine of 3Twenty it has become a mecca for wine connoisseurs where they can choose from some of the most delectable wines available from around the world.

That would be my next stop when I leave to the USA for a show in Spring/Summer (NZ). Will give a review then.
Two of my teen friends are joining the site to write, for practice guide them, whilst they have the bigger and better footing prepared in the writing/movie world.
Asked them to get a feel for writing here while I prepared a platform for them.
