The new Chevrolet Captiva is turning heads
Captivating, stylish, hard working and, above all, super spacious, the trend setting Chevrolet Captiva is currently going for the proverbial song at leading Cape Town car dealerships.
Branded the ‘best Chevy to grace UK shores so far’ by the bad boys of Top Gear, the popular seven seater SUV is genuinely turning heads south of the equator.
Affordable, compact and spacious
Economical running costs of a little under 10L per 100km, unrivalled quality, endless safety features and great handling all combine to create a SUV that performs as well on the rugged roads of Africa as it does on the smooth streamlined surfaces of the big city highways.
The robust, rather burly exterior belies an elegant, sporty dashboard and an interior clearly designed with convenience and comfort in mind.
The spacious and versatile cabin, which can accommodate an entire extended family or a significant load when all the seats are folded away, separates the Captiva from the rest of the SUVs.
Multi-models of the Chevy Captiva
The Chevrolet Captiva comes in four distinct models differentiated by engine size, diesel or petrol power, manual or automatic transmission and a choice of either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive – 2.4 LT FWD 5 speed manual, 2.4 LT AWD 5 speed manual, 2.0 Diesel LTZ 5 speed manual and the 3.2 LTZ 5 speed auto.
2.4 LT Chevrolet Captiva
The smallest of the Captiva stable is the 2.4 LT which boasts a four-cylinder 16-valve overhead cam engine with plenty of punch – 0-100km/h in approximately 11 seconds and a top speed of 185 km/h!
Currently retailing at a low, low bargain price, the 2.4 LT is available in both FWD and AWD, the latest generation, super smart, all-wheel drive.
The innovative AWD system interacts with both the ABS and ESP systems to beef up the control of the vehicle by providing an intelligent ‘on-demand’ all wheel-drive system as and when it senses the front wheels are not providing sufficient traction!
Safety features
As a popular family car, the Captiva is well endowed with safety specifications including anti-rollover protection, automatic pedal release, electronic stability program, hydraulic brake assist and hill descent control.
Where to buy Chevrolet Captivas at red-hot prices
You can buy new cars in Cape Town at the reliable Reeds Motor Group; the largest independently owned General Motors Franchise Group in Cape Town.
Their red hot special price of R274 995 on both the FWD and AWD 2.4 LT Chevrolet Captiva includes a 5 year or 120 000km warranty. Go online at the Reeds Motor Group today, browse the specifications of the 2.4 LT Chevrolet Captiva and save over R23 000 on a brand new seven-seater SUV!
