"Indak - Indak sa kadalanan" or Street Dancing in Davao City, Philippines, August 18, 2012 cultural celebration and thanksgiving traditions in celebration called "Kadayawan Festival". A celebration of thanksgiving for bountiful harvest and wealth historical heritage.
Street Dancing or "Indak - Indak sa kadalanan" for the 27th Kadayawan Festival celebration in Davao City
It is the annual celebration during the month of August, here in Davao City called "Kadayawan Festival". Indak - Indak sa kadalanan (Street Dancing) is one of the highlights in the said celebration. Participated with the most of the local regional schools, and other neighboring cities, and municipalities representing their local tribes and cultures. Every year many of the local and foreign visitors have more fun together celebrating this events.
This year theme is "Ten Tribes One Vibes" means colorful celebration and pleasant-sounding relationship of various tribe. There is ten (10) tribes namely as:
1. "Ata" tribe - musical instrument used "AGONG"
2. Matigsalug tribe - musical instrument used "KUDLONG" kind of guitar.
3. Maguindanao tribe - musical instrument used "KUDYAPI".
4. Ovu Manubo tribe - musical instrument is "KULINTANG"
5. Klata Djangan tribe - musical instrument is "AGONG"
6. Tagabawa tribe - musical instrument is "AGONG"
7. Sama tribe - musical instrument is "KULINTANG"
8. Tausog tribe musical instrument is "Biyula"
9. Maranao tribe - musical instrument used "KUBING".
10. Kagan tribe - musical instrument used "BOLANG - BOLANG".
