A review of the Fifty Shades of Grey books that have captivated readers all over the world.
Fifty Shades of Grey Review.
The words “Fifty Shades of Grey” are whispered amongst women of all ages; they have just discovered what has been missing from their lives. The three books in the trilogy depict the relationship between Ana Steele and Mr Grey himself, a gorgeous businessman who isn’t your typical Romeo character.
Friends, family members and even work colleagues have been sharing the book with one another expressing their views on the somewhat raunchy contents.
I have to admit on first reading the beginning chapter I was hooked- that is what you want from a good novel. Something that pulls you in, wanting you to read on.
When I got to around chapter seven I remember thinking to myself “I’m not sure if I want to read this” due to the graphic detail of some of the scenes. Now, I am not a prudish person, I am very open with my friends when it comes to discussing sex, but even at this moment I thought to myself that I did not want to continue on.
If you feel a bit off reading it to begin with- my comment to you would be read on! It is a must. The story told is a fantastic portrayal of a 21st century romance. After I got over the initial shock of what I was reading I really enjoyed the story- so much that I read all three books of the trilogy in the space of seven days.
The story is very captivating, and although some people are expressing its similarities to the Twilight novels- it is totally different. The only resemblances are that they both portray a couple with an overpowering pull towards one another. Believe me, the books are very exciting, which is why they have spiralled out of control and every woman wants to read them- I even gave mine to my mother!
This is a new type of book that woman have been praying to hit their bookshelves for some time. Now is your chance to embrace it and enjoy reading something that is a bit more contemporary in today’s more expressive society.
