The importance of acquiring a quality shaving cream in comparison with other products.
Shaving cream
A shaving cream is basically used for removing the facial hair, but it can be used for other places that are filled with hair as well. Using a substance that can serve as a lubricant for razors and protect the skin is not a new thing, as there are references that go back five thousands of years ago. Compared to the soap that is the classical solution, a paste can generate much more lather.
Being available mostly in spray cans, the paste that is meant for calming the skin burns and acting like a lubricant to make the beard shaving easier is a popular solution today. The spray cans are usually full of foam, or a gel. In general, a brush is used for transforming the foam and the gel in lather.
A good shaving cream can be made from the following ingredients: soaps, oils, surfactants and alcohol, or water. Water is used as the ultimate lubricant, because people know that shaving under a water splash can be much easier. The foam is actually a pressurized form of the chemicals which constitute the ingredients.
During history, there were all types of combinations. For instance, soft soaps and oils were combined and were released in tubes.
Because of the water content, specialists recommend a very small amount of water to be used at the actual shaving procedure. Experts also recommend using premium products, as they have a better quality. Using a post-shave balm can be very helpful in hydrating and calming the skin even more. Not using a balm can be bad for the aspect of the skin, as it may look like the beard was out in cold weather for hours.
Foam
Users who have compared a quality shaving cream with mass production foams have found that the widely used foams require a lot more water to be used with them. The use of premium products decreases the need for a balm. A good paste softens the beard and makes it more suitable for a painless and smooth cutting procedure.

Electrics never worked for me... creams and foams and shaving soap in a mug didn't lubricate well enough. Give me GEL any day!
