IWas given 2 gift vouchers as a gift for high tea at Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth Darlington and went with my friend today which was lovely.

On Arrival

This afternoon a friend and I went to a 5* hotel in Hurworth Darlington for High tea. On arrival we were in awe of the grounds beauty before even getting inside.

At first we felt lost but after finding which door was the main entrance we asked at the lobby where to go and were taken through to a sofa by a window. The inside was just as beautiful as its exterior and before we knew it we had our coats taken to a coat hold and being brought silver teapots, milk and sugar lumps.

The staff were very friendly and popped over every so often asking if everything was ok and whether we needed anything which just added to the 5* experience.

The food

An assortment of finger sandwiches, scones with jam, and cakes were brought to us looking well presented and tasted nicer than we expected.

Being women we enjoyed chatting and spent 2 hours there making our food last over that period and not once did we feel pressured to leave or rushed.

When we did decide to go we just gave our coat tab to a member of staff who brought us our coats and asked only then to see my tickets. I asked whether I could take one home as a memento which she happily obliged to and just photocopied themselves a copy so it couldn't be reused.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon there and would recommend it to anyone else travelling up that way or even as a gift for someone else.

I am not certain of the prices as it was a gift to me but the website for any further info (and probably the prices) is http://www.rockliffehall.com/
