After a Fourth of July town celebration, four high school friends make a fatal decision after they accidentally hit somebody with their car on a dark and windy road. When they all reluctantly agree to dump the body into the sea, they vow never to speak of the incident again. Jennifer Love Hewitt is Julie James, Sarah Michelle Gellar is Helen Shivers, Ryan Phillippe is Barry Cox, and Freddie Prinze, Jr. is Ray. They all assume the person behind the stalkings is Max (played by Johnny Galecki) because he came upon them that night but things won't seem as they are when they discover who they really ran over that terrible night.

This time, Julie and three of her friends are stranded on an island in the Bahamas, Tower Bay, after winning a weekend vacation, in a summer storm with only the off-season staff. As the staff begins to die off, can the four friends survive the stalker, Ben Willis, or will they end up losing their lives as well?

It may be a third sequel, but it's a different group of teens in a small Colorado town. After a practical joke takes the life of one their friends one fateful Fourth of July, four friends vow to keep what happened a secret. But once again, one year later, it seems as if someone knows their terrible secret as each one begins receiving disturbing messages about that tragic summer. Can they stop this menacing stalker based on the fisherman in a slicker urban legend or will they succumb to the killer's menacing hook?
