I do believe that the new Android software will outdo the Iphone 4. Apple has many good features, and thousands of great apps. The main reason that I believe android will out do apple in the mobile phone market. The iphone/Ipod has many great components, and they usually last awhile, but the reason android software will out do the Iphone OS is because Android is free and open source.
Android is completely free, and believe or not can be put on Ipods and Iphones. That is the main reason why Android will most likely out do the Iphone OS is because Iphone is proprietary, and they can only come out with improvements as fast as the team that has rights to work on Iphone software can. With android the software exists all over the world which means that more programmers are working right now to make android a better mobile OS.

Android relationship with Google will probably help to fuel the android fire. Google is easily the most famous search engine in the world. The popularity of Google will subsequently add to the popularity of the Android OS. Another reason why Android will probably blow the Iphone OS out of the water is that android can be run on a computer. This means that apps that you could not play on your computer before become available on your laptop as well as your Android phone.

Android is fairly new, and it still has some bugs while running on a computer, but the fact that you can (in my opinion) allows Android to take a giant step of Iphone OS users, and because the software is based on Linux it will always be free to use and modify. This means that the whole world has a shot at fixing any bug that you encounter. This fact also makes updates much smoother because they have been tested by multiple teams and not just one team of people.

Android software can also be put on an Ipod/Iphone. This link will give instructions on how to do so. For now the instructions are kind of difficult to follow, but rest assured Android will keep evolving. There will come a day when Android software will be a choice along with the type of Ipod/Iphone.
