A Day That Will Live on in Infamy

As One Life to Live's last air date looms, January 13, 2012, this will be one sad day when One Life to Live airs its last episode. One Life to Live has been quickly tying up loose ends as the final day arrives that forever ends the ABC daytime soap opera, One Life to Live. The last question on fans minds is "Who killed Victor Lord, Jr.?" And with two weeks left, fans are hoping for a twist in the story, and it's not Roger Howarth's character, Todd Manning, as the show is somehow making it look.

On other news, One Life to Live writers brought back its soap-within-a-soap, "Fraternity Row". The writers brought back "Fraternity Row", as a way to express their own views on the One Life to Live's cancellation and they think fans have reacted to the shows pending cancellation. Characters like Clint Buchanan (Jerry Ver Dorn), Roxy Balsom (Ilene Kristen), and everyone else were all scene watching episodes of "Fraternity Row."

But the best part of the story was when Roxy noticed on Soap Opera Weekly, that "Fraternity Row" had been cancelled. Roxy expressed what almost every fan expressed upon reading the cover of Soap Opera Weekly. She made a mad dash straight to Bo Buchanan (Robert S. Woods), who once produced the show back in the early 80s/90s. Sadly, Bo couldn't help. Then she went straight to Clint, who also turned her down. The last straw was interrupting David Vickers Buchanan (Tuc Watkins) in his interview with Blanca Morales on her talk show. Roxy and her followers got David to agree. But when they went to the set of "Fraternity Row," their was a sign on the door about the last episode being taped.

The character of Roxy Balsom expressed every fans disappointment upon learning their show had been cancellation. This was an ingenious move on the part of the writers. They showed the fans how grateful they were for the support of their show.

I have never been into soap operas but, like ittech said, you did a great job on this review.
