Little House on the Prairie: An Inspiring Classic

I remember growing up, wanting to watch Little House on the Prairie every week. It was a ritual I just had to do. It is based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series about the story of her family's travels on the American frontier from where they started out in the big woods of Wisconsin to the Kansas prairie to growing up in Dakota Territory where she met and married her husband Almanzo Wilder.

Little House on the Prairie is a family program that is based on family values and inspires people of all ages to have hope and faith when life looks grim. Michael Landon, who played Charles Ingalls, and also produced, directed and wrote for the series, was inspiring as the Ingalls patriarch. Melissa Gilbert, who played the author, Laura Ingalls Wilder, grew up in the role of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Little House on the Prairie gives traditional family values. As many times as I have watched these episodes, it seems that I always learn something new. Little House on the Prairie will always be a television show that will be loved for years to come.
