Milenge Milenge has been a long awaited movie. In fact it took years to make due to the personal differences between the two Kapoors - Kareena and Shahid.

God knows if the two Kapoors will ever ‘Milenge’ again, but there ‘Milenge Milenge’ is set to release this coming Friday. The breakup of Shahid and Kareena did not go well with Boney Kapoor, the producer and had a tormenting wait of around 6 years before the film to see the light of the day. All these years Boney Kapoor had been going through a rough patch of ‘Milenge Milenge’, but even the end too does not seem well, as there are promotional blues too.
Director Satish Kaushik though has other ideas. He claims the story to be as fresh in 2010 as it was in 2004-05. Himesh Reshammiya has again scored an ear-pleasing music. Delnaaz Paul and Kirron Kher along with Satish Shah are the other supporting actors. ‘Milenge Milenge’ is a remake of Hollywood flick ‘Serendipity’.
Kareena plays ‘Priya’ a simpleton. Her simplicity is not known from her appearance, but she wants her life partner to be straightforward. Priya has a big list of expectations like no drinking, no smoking and having no other such vices, from her would-be partner that just seems impossible to be fulfilled by a single person.
She meets Amit (Shahid) at one of the festivals in Bangkok. As a typical Hindi film, both get attracted towards each and the ball sets rolling. Then happens the expected ‘twist’ and things start falling apart. The fairy tale ends as it as it had once started.
Amit shatters Priya’s trust and that is the virtual end to their relationship. However, as a hero always woos his heroine, Amit again tries to win Priya back. Till this time, Priya has already coined her philosophies of life. ‘If we are destined to meet again, destiny will play a role in bringing us back in Delhi’. Priya tells Amit and both take leave of each other with no personal information of the other.
Now, as a ‘standard’ Bollywood film, do not misinterpret that they will in actuality meet in Delhi. No. Years roll by and there is no indication of any possibility that they will even get to see each other in real life once again. The wait is frustrating and both decide on the same thing – getting married off.
However, they do take care of one thing. Just to try their luck, they make one final attempt to get in touch with each other after such a long period of being away. Will they ever be one again? You will have to watch the movie for this.
A lot of mental strain has gone through while the shooting and the promoting of the film due to the real life split between Shahid and Kareena. That is why taking the advantage ‘They are back together’ is the tag line used for the promotion. Kareena is obviously not happy with this. According to her, fans may interpret that Shahid and herself have sunk their differences. This means, Kareena has ditched Saif, which is not.
