Nokia X3-02 is not as smart as iphone, but it’s suitable for people who need occasionally to browse internet when going out.
Review of Nokia X3-02: An Average Touch and Type Smart Phone
Nokia is an international communications corporation headquartered in Finland. Its principal products are mobile electronic devices including mobile telephones and other communications devices. It was the world's largest vendor of mobile phones from 1998 to 2012. The one I'm reviewing is one of the smart mobile devices: Nokia X3-02.
Packaging:
Nokia X3 is packed in a small recycled box and easy to open. There is a picture of the mobile on the front box. Inside the box there are a mobile, a charger, an earphone and a quick start guide. The mobile has 3 options of colours: black, white and silver.
Features:
My Nokia X3-02 is in a black colour. It is about 80g with battery. Its dimensions are 106.2 x 48.4 x 9.6 mm. It has a touch screen with a standard keypad. There are also four keys above the standard keypad: Call key, Messaging key, Media key and End/Power key. At the front top of the device there are an earpiece and a light sensor. The loudspeaker is designed at the bottom of the device. At the side part there are wrist strap hole, volume keys and keylock button. At the top there are micro USB connector, charger connector and Nokia AV connector. At the back of the device it is the camera lens.
Usage:
The device is really easy to getting start, especially if you are not a new Nokia mobile user. First insert your SIM card and battery. Second recharge your mobile before you can switch it on for the first time. You can use the charger or the USB cable to your computer. After charging you can switch on the device and personalize as much as you want. The basic features include making and answering calls, sending and receiving messages as well as voice mails and emails. You can also listen to FM radio and visit internet via Wi-Fi network, etc.
Price and Availability:
In the UK you can buy Nokia X3-02 in many retailers store and websites. You will find the prices vary. As a guide, it’s currently sold on Amazon UK website about £120. You can also get a free device through some network providers depending on the contracts.
Personal experience:
I was given the mobile phone free by Orange Company when I renewed my contract with them. It was my second Nokia product. I had used Nokia 6303 for two years before. So it’s not difficult for me to quickly get used to it.
I chose the silver one, but was given a black one by accident. I didn’t like the colour, but I didn’t bother to change either. So I finished with the black one. Personally I think the black one is more suitable to men.
Compared to my old Nokia 6303 the new device has a bigger display screen, which makes surfing internet less uncomfortable. The touch screen speeds up my operations. It has a messaging key that I use regularly when I need to check my emails. I like the keylock button that avoids accidentally making a call when it’s in my bag.
The camera does not have a flash, but it supports an image capture resolution of 1944x2592 pixels. I have taken many pictures and found they are respectable. After downloading them to my computer I can’t find a big difference with other pictures taken by my Sony camera. By the way, same as Nokia 6303, the Micro USB cable connector is too short. When I connect it to my computer I have to hold on the device.
Lat but not least the Wi-Fi browsing works very well. I feel surprised with the performance. That made me feeling satisfied with my new Nokia X3-02.
All in all I think it’s not as smart as iphone, but it’s suitable for people who need occasionally to browse internet when going out. So I would like to recommend it.
