The 1TB WD Passport Essential is an awesome hard drive and it’s very mobile.
WD 1TB
For over 20 years, Western Digital has been producing great hard drives to protect our files, pictures, videos, and information. I personally have this hard drive and I love it. I’ll tell you why:
*Trustworthy- WD’s portable drives have sold more than any other brand in the world. They are very safe and secure. It has automatic, continuous backup, hardware encryption and password protection.
*Space- 1TB is enough room for whatever files you may have. I own 2 of the drives because I have a lot of videos and music, however, 1 drive is enough for an every day user.
*Quality- As I said previously, WD has been doing this for a while and they are the most sold and most trusted producer of portable drives. They are quality drives, inside and out.
*Speed- Transfer rates are up to 3x faster because of USB 3.0. The great thing about it is the drive is also compatible for USB 2.0 so you don’t have to worry about trying to get any different equipment.
*WD SmartWare Software- The drive comes with plenty of extra protection. You can choose to use it or not. I would highly suggest using the software.
The drive comes with a 1TB Portable hard drive, USB cable, WD SmartWare software, Quick Install Guide. This is an absolute must-have for every day computer users, even if you don’t have a lot of files. It’s always a good thing to have your files protected and stored for back-up. Great product!

I've never heard of this before, Joe. I use those pen drive thingies, though I was aware that portable hard drives existed. I just didn't know they were this big. I mean, this year I got my first terrabyte hard drive for the PC. Seems like I'm falling behind the times. ;)
