An amazing little toy that has kept me entertained for hours on end and at a great price. There are so many great things to do with this little black and purple box it amazes me!
Acorn TV my greatest guilty pleasure.
When I was first told about this little black and purple box I was thinking to myself " there is no way this thing will ever do anything good, satellite TV is just as good if not better", well I was so wrong, I never realized just how much I was missing by watching normal satellite TV and feeling content when all this amazing channels were out there. I didn't even know some of these existed and I am such a fan of the channels they have available.
For example I love the Gaiam TV because I have recently starting a healthier living plan and this has all the great things I love. I can get all types of Pilates videos, Yoga, kickboxing, and even Tai Chi! Of course there is a nominal fee of like $10 a month but it is so worth it for the thousands of videos that I can watch. I also get to watch self help videos, metaphysical and spiritual, it is just amazing to me how much is out there! They even have a healthy living aspect to their website and their TV channel that I love to visit. It give s you all the latest and greatest health tips that you can work into your daily routine and all the great products out there.
By far my best guilty pleasure would have to be the Acorn TV, I love, love, love, British television so this is amazing for me. Right now I am actually watching a series called Single Handed and it is amazing. I love this show but I am not going to ruin it for the rest of you, you will have to watch it to see what it's about. I will let you know this about it though, it is set in my favorite place of all time, Ireland! It is a great series that you just have to watch!
So as you can see I am absolutely thrilled with my Roku! I have never used anything like this before and was so worried about set up but that is a cinch. All I had to do was plug it into my TV's HDMI and it was ready to go from there. I went to the website, signed up and it was up and running in like five minutes flat! Now I will let you in on a secret, I am truly not that technologically savvy at all, so for me that was a big deal that I was able to connect it myself. I usually tend to call my brother or father who are both trained computer technicians and programers to come help me. So for anyone this is a great little toy to have especially if you like all types of worldly television programs and trying new things.
