Roger Howarth created the role of Todd Manning on ABC's One Life to Live in 1992 and left the role in 2003--which was successfully recast by Trevor St. John.

Roger Howarth created the role of Todd Manning on ABC's One Life to Live in 1992 and left the role in 2003--which was successfully recast by Trevor St. John.
Howarth managed to bring Todd Manning from a vengeful rapist , to a character fans love. Then Roger vacated the role in 2003.
St. John was soon recast as Walker Laurence, Mitch Laurence's (Roscoe Born) brother, that ultimately led to St. John being Todd Manning, as he managed to convince Todd's daughter, Starr (Kristen Alderson). St. John managed to make Todd even more lovable.
Now, with the return of Howarth in 2011, it turns out that Howarth's Todd is Todd Manning, and St. John's Todd is his twin brother, Victor Lord, Jr. Turns out that their mother, Irene Manning (Barbara Rhoades), was pregnant with twins and when Irene told this to their father, Victor Lord, he told he wanted nothing to do with them. So she gave Todd to Peter Manning, and kept Victor, Jr.
When Todd inherited $27.8 million from Victor Lord's estate, Irene had Todd brought to her where she tortured him with shock therapy for 8 years. In the mean time, she had programmed Victor, Jr. with Todd's memories, even gave him the same scar that Todd had (a scar Todd had gotten in a struggle with Marty and Luna Moody earlier). Then, Irene did something even more shocking--she had Victor, Jr. get reconstructive surgery to look like Mitch Laurence's (Roscoe Born), brother, Walker. Victor, Jr. was supposed to get Todd's family to accept him as Walker, then drop the bombshell that he was Todd Manning, which he successfully managed to do for eight years.
With the news of Victor, Jr.'s death, Todd is the prime suspect in his twin brother's murder. After being shot by Irene, (she convinced him that she planted a bomb at Victor Jr.'s estate to kill his entire family--everyone was alright thanks to Bo Buchanan tossing the bomb into a pond), Todd shot and killed his mother. Tomas Delgado (Ted King), Tea's (Victor, Jr.'s wife) brother initially confessed to killing Irene, but after Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) convinced Todd to come clean and tell the truth, Todd told the court that he killed Irene, and Tea got him off on self-defense.
Now it seems that Irene is haunting Todd, making him believe that he killed his brother, Victor, Jr. Did Todd Manning kill his brother, Victor, Jr.?
