I was not much comfortable with my Wikinut Inbox, as I had to click each and every message to see what's in it.
Mostly I've been using only Google Chrome for internet browsing. But recently I've found that Internet Explorer is the best to view the messages in my Wikinut Inbox.

What was my problem with Wikinut Inbox?
Earlier I wrote a page, "How I think Wikinut should improve the method of messaging to Wikinuts?" voicing my suggestions for improvements in the Wikinut Inbox.
Moderator Mark Gordon Brown has been telling that the Wikinut Technical team was already working on the issues and as he said, Wikinut has just improved!
Still I was not comfortable with my Wikinut Inbox, because every time I had to click every message to see what it contained.
Basically we get only three types of messages in Wikinut Inbox
- 1.New comment on a page you've commented on
2. Message from Wikinut user 'so and so'
3. New page by author 'so and so'
As I said, I had to click every message to see what it contained, because I was always using only Google Chrome to browse the Wikinut site.
In fact, the Wikinut Inbox is better than Gmail or Yahoomail!
To my surprise, I have found that Internet Explorer is the best browser to navigate on the Wikinut Inbox, as you can see all the messages without clicking on the subject line.
Please see the screenshot displayed above. As you can see all the contents of all the messages displayed at once, you're at great ease to just have a glance and act on your option to 'Delete', 'Reply', or 'Mark as unread'.
I tried Mozilla Firefox also to see the difference, but it has displayed the Wikinut Inbox in the same way as Google Chrome did.
Among all the three browsers I tested, I found the following differences in their usability.
- =>Google Chrome is not good for viewing the Wikinut Inbox, though it's the fastest browser.
=>Mozilla Firefox is same as Google Chrome, in dispalying Wikinut Inbox, and slower than Google Chrome.
=>Internet explorer is the best browser to view the messages in Wikinut Inbox, though it is not as fast as Google Chrome, but saves you lot of time and you can avoid unnecessary clicks to see what's there in every message.

Thank you Rashnashikamani:
Fortunately, I have Internet Explorer. I need all the information possible and have a few questions about being on Facebook in the 'Writers' Group'. Thank you for your constant support. Love, Ivyevelyn.

Wow I never knew there would be this difference. I mostly use Firefox because it is faster for my dial up computer than IE.
For people who do not want message notifications, you can turn them off in your profile settings I believe.

great star page--informative and helpful. I use SAFARI on an Apple Mac, and I think it is just as good as IE. Not sure, though!

I have IE, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome and a couple of other browsers on all my computers but I use Firefox almost exclusively for everything that I do online. Mozilla is by far the best, reliable browser that I have ever used.

Thanks for the info Rath. I have Internet explorer and Firefox, but the reason why have these two is because I had problems with the Internet explorer. I therefore had to download Firefox and eversince I used Firefox instead, it seemed to have cured the problem. Great info though. :)

I find Firefox as most useful as it does occupy less system space and quite fast also
