Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

This is one of the best dystopian novels easy to digest. This book is about Guy Montag, who is a foreman in a dystopian American society where books and intellectual thoughts are banned. The protagonist destroys contraband books and does not questions about the demolition, until the wife tries to kill herself and the protagonist meets with a neighborhood girl, named Clarisse who believes very strongly in thoughts and ideas in books and freedom of expression. Guy starts reading the books in secret and when he is discovered, he escapes and things get worse.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

The novel is about a city that has been split into 5 separate factions where each and every faction upholds a specific virtue of humanity. On a specific day of a year, everyone who is 16 years old has to take a test which tells them the faction they would fit in best. A character named Beatrice Prior was born in one of the factions but she feels that she does not fit into the faction she was born in and feels restricted by her environment. When she takes the test, Beatrice is surprised to learn that she does not fit into any of the factions and she shows equal aptitude towards all the factions and this means that she is Divergent and the survival rates for Divergent are very minimal. It is one of the best dystopian novels as it combines action packed adventure and romance.
