I have listed a summary of websites where you can earn a residual income, you can have a reliable paycheck and even though you wont make as much as you would from a passive income website it's still a good start.

These sites allow you to get paid.

The benefits of joining a website that gives residual income is that you can continue to make money for years off that one article you published. It might be in small amounts at a time but eventually you would be making more off that one article than you would have made if you had sold it for say, $10 and given away your right to it.
That’s why it’s important to publish at least some of your articles with sites that give residual income there is a lot to be said about the positive aspects of using freelance writing sites that pay residual income. These sites allow you to get paid over and over again for that one article that took you an hour to write.

Once an article is live on the site, you will be paid residual income. The amount of money that you are paid per every 1000 views varies based on your clout level on the freelance writing site. Clout is calculated based on total number of views of all of your articles. On Associated Content, you can earn residual income of between $1.50 and $2 per 1000 views.

Associated Content sold out to Yahoo and in a way let down its contributors. It also stopped paying non-US residents. Thanks for the share - siva

Great article. Yahoo is the only site that I have made money with so far. But their assignments are limited.

Great tips for places to freelance your writing. I was not aware that associated content had changed its name. I was there for awhile but sadly had to leave because they no longer wanted to publish writers that were not from the U.S.
