A Book Review on a helpful book on what men would like their wives to do or not do.

Book Review: "How to Be The Almost Perfect Wife" by J.S. Salt

This book is only 117 pages long , two of these pages are left for notes. It is rather a easy to read, short book of suggestions with short quotes by men that author J.S. Salt interviewed over a two year period. The men vary in experience from years of marriage, divorced, and to newlyweds. I read the entire book of quotes in one day. I also discussed some of the ideas that the men offered in the book with my husband. Some he did agree with them and others advice given did not apply to us. I would recommend this book to couples that are engaged, couples experiencing communication problems, and those of us that would like to be proactive about our marriage and work on it daily.
The book is broken up into six chapters not including the introduction that deal with topics that are very important in marriages and relationships. I consider myself a very open-minded woman, who loves to learn and loves to maintain my marriage/friendship with my husband.
The six chapters are Support, Acceptance, Communication, Differences, Sex and Adventure, and Day to Day. This is also a great way to open up communication with your loved one. We have decided to also purchase the “ How to Be The Almost Perfect Husband” to see what the wives say about their needs.

Sample Quote from the book :

“ Know when to push and when to ease off.” -- Andy 37 married 3 years
