Double Chocolate Mint Brownies

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup plus 6 tablespoons butter, softened and divided
4 eggs, beaten
16 ounces chocolate syrup
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
3 drops green food coloring
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.) Beat flour, sugar, 1/2 cup butter, eggs, and syrup in a large bowl until smooth; pour into a greased 9×13 baking pan.
3.) Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until top springs back when lightly touched.
4.) Cool completely in pan.
5.) Combine powdered sugar, 1/2 cup butter, water, mint extract, and food coloring in a bowl; beat until smooth.
6.) Spread over brownies; chill.
7.) Melt chocolate chips and remaining butter in a double boiler; stir until smooth.
8.) Pour over chilled mint layer; cover and chill until set.
9.) Cut into small squares to serve.

Makes about 4 dozen.
