Evil Twin' Action Presidents : Washington

So, for some unfathomable reason you want to read up on American Presidents but don't want to read political propaganda tripe pumped out by overtly serious agenda driven types... read this... then realize there's more on Philosophers (Action Philosophers) than Presidents... read this anyway.

A New Old Comic Book Addict Review

Politics isn't much in terms of cannon fodder for comics. Sure, DC wasted years of print on President Lex Luthir, and 2009 was the year of President Obama cameos in your comics (I have more to say on that in President Evil #1's review)... and let's not forget Blue Water' Political Power... pan to the bottom and vote for what Political Power comic you want reviewed (deadline July 2nd 2014)... but how about an engaging interesting read that is both fun yet educational at the same time... try this.

Presenting Evil Twins' Action Presidents : Washington. By Fred Van Lente and Ryan Dunkavey, the comic begins with the premise that every country has a Creation Myth, a myth as to how said country came to be. The United States of America is no exception, so presented to you is the tale of George Washington. A tale that feels honest and unintended by the glint and shine of the myth... in fact I dare say at certain points in his life if he was bought forward to present day to run for President nobody would vote for him... yet it isn't a slam against him. No.

You'd think this might be anti Washington from some of the things you will learn, yet this isn't anti Washington. It's simply a rather honest blinders off look at the man. His best and worst moments and traits on full and open display, presenting a full and complete look at the man... presented in a tongue in cheek humor that is perfect and complimentary. Neither over the top or vulgar as humor tends to be at times, the humor presented here fits yet is suitable and appropriate as we can have fun with Washington without being disrespectful to the man. And really in this age where Washington and other Presidents were recently resurrected to fight Deadpool that is rather timely in my book.

A tad short, about 18 pages, yet well worth the $2 drop on Comixology to read. A rare treat that is both fun and smartly created to both educate and entertain, it's well worth your time checking out... pity it's presently the only issue of the line, and the only other title worth reading with Evil Twin is predecessor title Action Philosophers... still check this out. A 5 out of 5.

Waiting on the next issue guys. Don't keep me waiting.

Next... Ugh. Antarctic Press' President Evil #1... but we're not done yet, look below!

Your turn. VOTE NOW FOR MY 4TH OF JULY POLITICAL POWER BARBEQUE!!!

A pity I'm low right now on review budget. I do have some very Christian comics in mind to drag out and review for your edification... but they're like 8 dollars a pop... Ugh... well your support helps me review so every new follower helps.

Come on everyone, please vote.

Well spent a few days retooling some podcasts to make them download friendlier... So I haven't had time to pursue votes... I'm thinking of giving up and sticking to reviewing President Evil and Time Lincoln next week... oh well, try again some other time.

Ok here's next week's reviews for 4th on July.

- America's Army
We look at Blue Water' America's Defenders Army One Shot and IDW' America's Army #0-#9.

- Presidental Madness
President Evil #1-#4 for some shameless New fangled parody Obama.
Time Lincoln #1-#5 and Time Lincoln Continental #1 for some old school Lincoln and a giant cast of historical madness.

In Issue #1 Lincoln is threatened with assassination by temporal Sith Lord Joseph Stalin aka Void Stalin... and is saved by the League of Historical Time Travellers aka Benjamin Franklin, Sir Isaac Newton, Washington Carved and Albert Einstein.

Issue #2 Lincoln and Franklin team up to fight Adolf Hitler and his M Bison clone army... expect a good score once I review it. Stay tuned.
