The most who like Facebook is job seekers In fact, social media in general, is playing an increasingly vital role job search.

Facebook is the site of choice with more than half of U.S. job seekers (52 percent ) through the site looking for a new job, as job found compared to 48 percent last year,

LinkedIn is used by 38 percent of job seekers , an increase of eight percent over the previous year, while Twitter usage increased from 26 percent to 34 percent. Both social networks had increases in general use among workers. Facebook, however, remains the same .

Twenty percent of respondents said a contact had shared a benefit of employment with them on Facebook, which was also even with last year.

Nineteen percent said someone had shared an advantage in LinkedIn, an increase of eight percent from 2011, while 11 percent said someone told them about a job through Twitter, up four percent from seven percent last year .

The survey found 75 percent of workers are employed or actively looking for a new job, are open to new deals - up from 69 percent last year.
