These are some of the free weather apps that I have installed on my phone. Each one has a good feature that I like. There will be features that I like for each weather app that I have.

Weather Bug

Weather Bug has some interesting features like the current temperature, detailed weather, temperature for your area, a 10 day forecast, radar map. One of the intersting features of this app is that if there is a strong storm coming with lightning, the app will let you know how close the lightning is so you can prepare for it, also if any other sever weather like tornado warnings, the app will give you that information.

Accu Weather

Accu Weather has one of the best radar maps than any of the apps that I have downloaded for my phone. When you put the radar in motion it will show you how the bad weather is going and if it will effect your area. Some of the other features that it offers are: current forecast, videos, weather news, offers other locations for you to add if you are interested in looking for cities forecast.

Weather Channel

The Weather Channel has their own weather app for the Android and iPhone smartphone. The temperature is from the official weather station for the city. It offers weather radar, local forecast, and weather related news. Their forecasts can help you plan for your day, week, or even within the next hour with their hourly and ten day forecast options. Their fast, accurate maps, that offers past and future radar as well as posting any sever weather bulletins for any storms and any tornadoes that are in your area.

Weather Underground

The Weather Underground is a community powered weather app. The app provides with the world's most accurate local weather forecasts with an addition to the interactive radar, satellites maps and severe weather alerts. It is powered by their unique community of weather enthusiasts reporting with live data from weather stations that are from their own backyards. This crowd sourced data that generates forecasts that are targeted to your location.

With their free push notifications for weather alerts, they are one of the essential weather app during sever weather events. Their interactive map that displays animated radar and satellite data to track the storms, and as well as providing specific map presets for tracking hurricanes and wildfires.
