What is Freelancer.ph?

Freelancer.ph is the dedicated market place for the Philippines. The website makes it possible for Filipino employers and freelancer talents to post available jobs and transact in Philippine pesos. Ms. Camsy Ocumen, Freelancer.ph country manager said "Filipinos are already being recognized throughout the world for talent and determination. Through freelancer.ph, we have yet another platform for our countrymen to join the rest of the world building a network where we can exchange ideas and ultimately create progress." (from the article of Manila Bulletin, Consumer Post, July 29, 2012)

How it Works?

To start, freelancers need to signup for an account at Freelance.ph. Registration is free. The site will verify your registration by sending an e-mail message in your e-mail account, and just by clicking the link provided in the e-mail, you can start editing your profile and upload your photo. Freelancer.ph automatically tracks your IP address every time you log in.

Freelancer can check for projects, post a bid and wait for an employer to accept his bid. They get paid via Paypal, Moneybookers, Freelancer.com Debit Mastercard and Wire Transfer. The website charges a commission of $5 USD or 10% for successful bids and 3% for gold members. Users only pay when they start earning.

Employers, on the other hand, post a project, wait for and receive bids, select bidder, arrange for milestone payment and release payment only after work is done. It cost only $5 USD (refundable) to post a project listing. This is refunded when the project is successfully completed. There is a charge $3 USD or 3% from the total project cost, payable through Credit Card, Web Money and other regional banking methods.

Today, millions prefer to avoid commuting to work and find a job that doesn't need to battle traffic, pollution, rains and floods with other commuters. Websites such as Freelancer.ph and Freelancer.com gives this kind of stress free work without sacrificing your career and to be with your family each day, watching your children grow everyday.
