This city has seen many many changed over the years, but this does not apply to our subways system here in Toronto

Getting to work on the the TTC on Sunday

Over the years I have seen this services getting worse and worse with time.
Let me explain. Before in the early 1980 we all had a choice of not working on the weekends. Weekends was for family time.
We all did our shopping on Saturdays and everything closed early.
This changed to Improve our city and the so call the economy it was better for Canadian.
Over the years as the city is getting more active and with more dement for services, most business operate on the weekends which includes Sundays.

The TTC does have a blue bus system to get you to places on the major routes of the city! These blue bus are the night buses.
The problem is they never arrive according to what the schedule! And when they do there will be 3 in a row, some will short turn and some drives can not even bother to advise you that his bus will be turning short.
The subways opens at 9am. Now the problem is most business open by 9am or before that special retail.
This makes a miserable time for people to commute to there jobs on a Sunday!
Special if you have to travel far.
I don't understand why the TTC as not started their train services earlier. I am not saying starting at 6am as they do on week days but at least 8am on Sundays, would help this city move and get people to work!

Every year the fair goes up supposedly to improve the services. This services is the same as a few years back and in some case, some services has been cut.
My question is where is this improvement? In comparison to other city Toronto Public Transit is the worse!
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is a public transport agency that operates transit bus, streetcar, paratransit, and rapid transit services in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1921, the TTC comprises four rapid transit lines with 69 stations, over 149 bus routes, and 11 streetcar lines, of which 148 routes make 243 connections with a rapid transit station during weekday rush hours.
TTC cash fare prices have risen faster than inflation since 1990. While the consumer price index (CPI) has risen at an annualized rate of 1.8% in Canada, TTC fares have increased at 4.5%
Now just imagine when the Pan Am Games gets here this will be a huge nightmare for this city.
Yesterday the C/O Andy Bedford says that everything will be done in time!

I have a short drive to work, its rural, no city for me, I sometimes see fewer than 10 other people on the road on my whole commute, which takes less than 10 minutes.

what city are you talking about? I am in Montreal, the metro stops at 1:15 and starts again at 5am and there are buses running 24 hours a day except in some industrial areas where you get one service in the morning and one at night which means you need a car or can get a car lift.

Cities should improve public transport to cater to public and encourage them to use them than private transport - siva
