Let's take a look at the early 1960s singer/songwriter Johnny Tillotson, described as a smooth singer and pure "Poetry In Motion."

From Bob Dylan to Billy joel

In the early sixties I was, as many others were, deep "Into" the pop scene, most of the big stars came from the states such as Bob Dylan, Paul Anka, Gene Pitney, Tommy Sands, Frankie Valli, Michael Jackson and Billy Joel

From the fifty's and into the sixties came Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bill Haley & The Comets, Ray Charles and Buddy Holly & The Crickets and to be honest there are just too many to list.

Here's Johnny

One of my "Heroes" was Johnny Tillotson, I think I must have bought (And still have) Most of his records

Johnny came to fame in the early sixties, although he had many hits including nine top-ten hits, some of them were "Without You", "It Keeps Right On A-Hurtin", "Talk Back Trembling Lips" but I suppose his biggest hit was "Poetry In Motion"

It all started in 1939

Johnny was born April 20, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida, and recorded his first record, “Dreamy Eyes" in 1958, in 1962 he recorded and wrote "It Keeps Right On A-Hurtin", it was later recorded by Margaret Whiting, Billy Joe Royal and Elvis Presley.

The list was big

He recorded seventeen vinyl albums and many singles and on his website are listed all his awards

A big thankyou to all these,_Florida#mediaviewer/File:Flag_of_Jacksonville,_Florida.svg

I never thought of Michael being in that group because he was only a child then but yes you are right he was there with the Jackson 5 in the 1960's
