A personal note about the recent movies I watched.

CINDERELLA: A Movie Review

Cinderella was shown last March 15, 2015 here in my country, the Philippines. I had the chance to go out and spend quite some time with my old friends as they had invited me to watch a movie. I was torn between INSURGENT and CINDERELLA, but since the group had more ladies than the guys, we just found ourselves sitting inside the theater waiting for Ella to surprise us.

What I felt while watching half of the movie was like I already knew what was gonna happen next. We all grew up with this Cinderella story. In fact, I have seen the cartoons way back in the 90's. What made this great I think for me was the characters were actually human. I find it very whimsical every time there is an adaptation of any cartoons. I can even relate this to Maleficent, Enchanted, etc.

The wardrobes were pleasant to the eyes. They were very 'BRITISH' for my taste. The scenes were awesome. I love the authenticity of their house. The castle was ok, though I am so sure that some of the shots in the castle scene were edited. My girl friends loved Cinderella's dress. That was one of the greatest scene in the movie, Cinderella's transformation (I love Goosie by the way) that part was very entertaining.

I just felt short on how the stepmother and her stepsisters made Cinderella's life pathetic. I was looking for more (I am not saying I am a sadist, but I personally believe that it was just like 50% of what I have seen in my childhood days, ahaha) Probably they are checking on the length of the movie.

Cinematography was good, the effects were great. Actors were good as well. I find Cinderella pretty but not that much. Her face is not at par with the Disney princesses I have seen in DisneyLand, though she is pretty.
