Remember when you saw the Movie Thor and saw the origin of Thor?
If that is what you think you've been lied to by Marvel Pictures. The movie Thor had nothing to do with the Origin of Thor... So says Journey into Mystery #83 featuring the origin of Thor.

A New Old Comic Book Addict Retro Marvel Review

Why did you sit through a 2-3 hour Thor Movie that has absolutely nothing to do with Thor. I don't know but you went and did it anyway... now here, this is Journey into Mystery #83, the origin of Thor God of Thunder.

In the Moai People of Saturn while travelling through Norway randomly for no reason, small clinic Doctor Donald Blake is in the countryside hitting the local inns when Moai headed aliens from Saturn arrives seeking to assert that they're men by taking control of the Earth for no good reason... of course.

While hitting up a local pub Donald hears stories of bored stone Moai men seeking to control the world, investigating the story only to run into said aliens who chase him into a cave where he finds a gnarled stick that turns into a nameless mystical hammer that magically turns him into Thor... Rainbow Bridge and Destroyer armor not included.

Over several pages Donald figures out how his hammer works, mainly that his hammer has the power of a boomerang so he can make it return to his hand, he can smash trees and lift rocks with the hammer as if they were Styrofoam movie props, sitting down with the hammer clearly in his hand counts as putting his hammer down turning off his power. Swinging his hammer about counts as flying as the hammer pulls him through the sky. Also he can control the weather and turn back to Donald Blake by striking the hammer down and changing it back to a walking stick. A stick he found sitting around a cave not controlled by SHIELD. So Thor stops the aliens, who apparently can trick the military into thinking they're fighting Ring Gang Room, but can only muster a magic cage to restrain the Thunder God, causing them to flee when their large guns and magical cages prove too weak to conquer a single Norse God and his hammer. Also nothing is done with diner coffee or easy Earth girls and their Scooby gang sidekicks including Ugly Betty.

Clearly something you will never read in the Thor Movie adaption comic book. Stupid movie can't even get the origin right.

Your Turn. Journey Into Mystery #83.

Your turn. Did you go to Marvel' s Comixology section and pull this comic in your pile to read the true origin of Thor? Did you then plunk $4 down for the movie adapt two parter? What did you think of both? Should Journey into Mystery be bundled in the Thor Movie adapt comic? Comment below, no flaming, thank you.
