Just a few little goofs from the hunger games movies, not huge mistakes but there noticeable ones.

The Hunger Games Movie Mistakes

In the shot where Katniss walks up the steps after volunteering to replace Primrose, Effie's fingers are waving her forward, but on the giant screen visible in the background, her hand is still.

Just after Katniss and Peeta use the healing cream, the wound on Katniss' forehead goes from healed/dry to fresh and then healed/dry again.

When Clove, the knife-wielding girl from District 2, attacks Katniss, the sun's position changes in every shot.

We are told that there are a boy and a girl tribute from each of the 12 districts, making a total of 24 tributes. However, in the scene when Katniss is figuring out the Cornucopia stockpile is mined, the camera sweeps round dug-up earth next to all of the launch pedestals yet only 20 pedestals can be counted. This can also be seen from an aerial shot in the same scene. Where are the other 4 tributes?

When Katniss kills Marvel with her bow and arrow when she's with Rue, the cannon (which goes off when a tribute dies) doesn't fire. This happens a couple of other times in the movie too.

When Caesar Flickerman is interviewing Katniss on TV, a chunk of her up-swept hairdo keeps changing, hanging down next to her left cheek in one shot, then it disappears in a close-up, then it's hanging down again.

After Katniss has destroyed the stockpile at Cornucopia, she runs back into the forest and stops to whistle to the mocking jay and signal Rue. In the wide shot you can very clearly see a blue marker for where she needed to stop.

When Katniss retrieves the bow and arrows from Glimmer, there are six arrows in the quiver. She probably recovered the two arrows that Glimmer and Cato shot at her in the tree, bringing the total to eight. Katniss did not recover the two arrows she used to blow up the Careers' supplies, bringing her total down to six. She probably recovered the arrow used to kill Marvel, but did not recover the two arrows she shot at Clove, bringing her total to four. She did not recover the arrow used to kill the mutation, nor did she recover the two arrows used on Cato, meaning that at the end of the Games, she should only have had one arrow remaining. However, at the end, she still had about half a dozen arrows remaining.

The tracker jacker nest Katniss is trying to release by sawing off the branch it hangs from, is alternately shown resting on another branch, then hanging freely.

During the scene when Katniss is looking for Peeta, Katniss wades across the river. When she steps out she is wet up to her thighs. When the camera changes directions, and she sees the blood, her bottom half is dry, even though she was just in water.

When Katniss, Peeta and Cato are on top of the Cornucopia, the blood stains on Cato's hand keep disappearing and reappearing when the camera switches between Cato and Katniss.

As the tributes' chariots roll into the stadium, the Capitol citizens are throwing flowers to the tributes as they pass. When all the tributes are gathered at the end of the roadway, an overhead shot is shown and the runway is clean and flower-free.

In the scene where Katniss uses the remote to change the scene in her bedroom window in the Capitol, her hair starts out stringy (having just been taken out of the braids she wore in the opening ceremony) and changes to full and beautiful and switches positions around her face and shoulders as the scene progresses.

When Katniss, Peeta, and Cato are on top of the Cornucopia (after being chased by the muttations), near the end of the film, Katniss aims an arrow at Cato while having Peeta in a headlock. Katniss has her arrow fletchings on backwards. This would prevent her from shooting straight.

When Katniss finds Peeta with the nightlock in his hands she gets angry with him for scaring her and hugs him. In the close up shot, Peeta has both his hands around her back with his right hand above his left. He says, "I'm sorry" (twice) and the next shot shows his left hand above the right.

During the District 12 reaping, Effie Trinket is the only character with a microphone. However, after the female tribute has been chosen, Katniss and Primrose's voices can be heard amplified and echoed as if they were using microphones as well, even though neither are near the microphone. This is only in some shots, and the echoes come and go.

When Katniss is turning around to show her fire dress, you can see her hair (bun) comes apart. But in the next scene her hair is nicely tucked in.

When Katniss is walking up for the Reaping she has a bruise on her neck. In next shot it's gone.

When Katniss fires her arrow at the apples on the pile of goods, she is barely into the clearing, but as the explosion knocks her backwards, she seems to have moved forwards a couple of yards.

After Rue has died, her eyes move when Katniss is grieving.

After Rue has died and Katniss is putting a bunch of flowers in her hand, Rue's fingers move.

Fun Fact: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are the only Hunger Game tributes ever referred to by their first and last names. The other tributes are just identified by their first names, even when they're being introduced by Ceasar Flickerman during the televised interviews or their scores are being announced on television.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Movie Mistakes

The number of arrows that Katniss has in her quiver goes up and down through the games. For example, In the second cornucopia scene when the career tributes from Districts 1 and 2 attack Katniss, Peeta, Wiress, Johanna, Finnick and Beetee, one shot shows three arrows left, but there were plenty used during the rest of the film.

The old man executed in District 11 was shot in the head from behind. However, when Katniss looks out the window from above there are no blood stains on the floor, nor is there a gunshot wound to the head.

In the very first scene where Katniss and Gale talk to each other in the forest you can see Katniss' breath forming clouds, but Gale's doesn't, although they are standing right in front of each other.

While Katniss and Johanna are unreeling the wire on the way to the beach, the wire gets stuck further up the hill. This should not affect her ability to keep moving, as she is holding the coil.

"Buttercup", Prim's beloved cat somehow managed to change from a black and white tabby in the The Hunger Games (2012) to a ginger cat in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013).

After President Snow drinks from his glass the backwash turns the drink bloody red, in the very next shot, from afar the champagne has turned back to golden coloured.

When Katniss shoots the arrows in the training room at the enemies made of light, her arrows are not on the ground when the shot pans out when she finishes.

When Beetee is in the woods, it can clearly be seen at times that his glasses do not have lenses.
