Otterbox Case for Samsung Galaxy S III from Radio Shack

We all know that Radio Shack is a world leader in distribution of electronics, mobile devices and accessories. They offer a wide but optimal inventory of products that is at par with the changing climate of wireless devices and its accessories. This goes for all their store locations all over the world and on their webstore as well. Here, you will find the latest in protection for your mobile devices and smartphones.

Radio Shack carries protective solutions for handheld devices; among them is the OtterBox brand. Let’s focus on The OtterBox Defender Series for Samsung Galaxy S III, which offers three layers of protection. It may have been a bit late for Otterbox in releasing this product, but it is well worth the wait. It comes with a screen protector, the silicon case, and a belt clip. Though some find the screen protector a bit thick, it does not interfere with the sensitivity of the touch screen. Foams are well placed on the clip to protect the Galaxy S III body case from scratches. The silicon wrap also provide great response on the side buttons, and provides adequate protection in case you drop your device. It’s a perfect all around protection for your smart phone. Yes, the case is waterproof, hence the namesake OtterBox, which mimics the otter's fur being water proof.

The OtterBox Defender Series for Galaxy S III does add bulk and weight to the phone. It will not preserve the slim profile and will make your phone look odd. This product is definitely for those who are hard on their phones and those who work around tough environment, or simply having great protection while doing outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. It will wrap your phone to a point that it is no longer recognizable as a Galaxy S III series. But the pay off is that you will never lay a scratch on the phone, preserving its original look.

In comparing phones as I get ready to get my very first 'smart" phone, I found the Galaxy SIII much to large to be useful as the pocket phone I require. With an Otterbox case on it (all Otterbox cases are quite secure AND quite bulky) the device would become, I would think, unacceptably large and bulky for most users.
