A personal opinion piece of the book Private Vegas, released on 26th Jan 2015

Book Review

Set in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the latest book in the Private series takes you on yet another whirlwind trip through these two cities, solving crimes and bringing the perpetrators of violent crimes to justice.
Like the others in the series, this one also has multiple stories woven into the common fabric of the life and profession of Jack Morgan and his team of investigators at Private. Set at a fabulous pace, this one is also a page turner which starts off with Rick Del Rio facing trial which he 'claims' he didn't commit and Jack's quarter million dollar Lamborghini mysteriously going up in flames.
With Jack's messy personal life getting worse with every passing day and his evil twin Tom relentlessly pursuing his agenda of destroying Jack, the intrigue keeps building up. Private's client Hal Archer is accused of killing his wife Tule, who he says was trying to kill him - leads to the Lester Olsen, the Vegas slickster who teaches beautiful women how to snag billionaires into marriage and then kill them, leaving their massive fortunes to their wives. Two Sumeran diplomats (fictional country in middle-east Asia), wreak havoc in LA on unsuspecting women and then escape punishment by claiming diplomatic immunity is another sub story whirling about in the mix! Sounds complicated? The mastery of James Patterson blends all the different threads into a
fast paced novel which hurtles towards its logical conclusion with breakneck speed.
While I would not give up story details of how this all ends, suffice it to say that it all ends well for most protagonists and life goes on Jack Morgan, heartbreak and all.....
Though these books do not claim to dole out any literary gems, James Patterson fans will not be disappointed, it's a racy, page turning thriller. You wouldn't mind picking it up and reading it at one go, start to finish over a lazy weekend.
Happy Reading!
