Like many women I am always looking for new recipes to try at home. I also look for recipes which can make to take to a potluck supper.

Looking for new recipes

I was looking for new recipes when I went to the potluck supper last week. I am often looking for new recipes because we get tired of eating the same old food. Sometimes I look for recipes to make at home for a change, and sometimes I look for recipes that I could easily take so someone’s house for a potluck supper.

Beef and broccoli

A while back I was looking for a new recipe to bring to a potluck dinner and it had to be something that was easy to make and easy to carry because I had to take it on the bus. That means, the dish could not be too heavy, too awkward to carry and not a dish that would spill in transportation.

I asked people online in one of my sites that write for and some people gave some great suggestions. The suggestion I liked the most was a pork adobo recipe which was just wonderful. My son loved it. But then I made a beef bake recipe last night, which was another suggested recipe for supper and that was great as well.

Pork adobo

The recipe for the beef recipe is made with a can of cream of broccoli soup, beef, onions, garlic, broccoli spears, mushrooms, soya sauce and water. You can change the taste of the meal just by changing the soup to cream of mushroom, or cream of celery. I kept the regular cream of broccoli. I loved the recipe so much. Here is where you can find it. You can also change the vegetables as well.

I recommend that anyone who eats beef try it. I have already sent the recipe out to different people.

I am now invited to another potluck on Dec 6, and I think I might take the pork adobo dish this time.

Carol, thanks for sharing your recipe. The beef and broccoli looks really good. I think I might try that one.
