This is my personal review on a book that I love and hope you will love too by the name of "Soul on Ice" by Eldridge Cleaver.

Esoterica Review -- Soul on Ice

Hello all out there! My name is Andina Lee and I am presenting a book review about one of my favorite books by the name of "Soul on Ice" by Eldridge Clever, a 1970s Ex-Black Panther Party member and an African American revolutionary. "Soul on Ice" is an autobiographical prequel of his "Soul on Fire" series, which is a compilation of letters, notes, and his own personal experience and point of view of the Civil rights movement of the 1960s. This autobiography was written while he was serving an 8 year prison sentence for rape and attempted murder in Folsom and San Quentin correctional facilities in California.

Cleaver was viewed as one of the more extremist civil rights advocates from both his opponents and supporters. Ill-regardless of this opinion, he was none the less a genius and self taught English scholar, whoms introspective and radical views helped shape a nation at one of its most critical times in history." Soul on Ice" is broken down into 5 sections. Some of the topics explored in those sections are, the assassination of fellow black supremacist Malcolm X, the white youth of Americas support of the black civil rights movement of the 1960s, and a brief summary of the "cause" for the underlying attraction between the black male and the white female.

In my opinion, the most intellectual key point of this book is where, Cleaver provides a explanation of the role played of supremacy and inferiority between the black male and the white male, in accordance to, evolutionary creation. Cleaver labels these terms as the Super Masculine Menial (the black male principle) ,t he Omnipotent Administrator ( the white male principle) in concurrence with the Primeval Mitosis ( the evolutionary creation).

This book is a true masterpiece and would be a favorite for anyone who enjoys recent American history. This is an unique perspective of the "black mans plight" in civil rights American history from a direct victim and agitator. However, I would like to advise that any person who is racially sensitive or easily offended to not pick up this book as it may cause minor emotional upset. Thank for tuning in and I hope this helps.

Happy Reading !,
