Popular 50's style diner serves up good old fashioned food and fun for the whole family.

A Blast From The Past

It's like stepping into the 1950's when you walk into Gunther Toody's. You will hear the jukebox playing as you are ushered to your booth or table. As you look over the menu the realization hits. You just might be about to have the best meal in Denver.
If you enjoy a good old fashioned breakfast this is the place to find it. In fact Gunther Toody's is packed at breakfast time with repeat customers that love the meals offered on the breakfast menu, Whether it's eggs and bacon with potato's or biscuits with old fashioned gravy or any of the menu items, you will see why this diner if is locally renowned for it's breakfast. However, that's not the only time you will find a nice crowd at this nostalgic diner. You won't be disappointed at lunch and dinner either.

As you listen to the 50's music in the background it wouldn't be surprising if the Fonze walk through the door with Richie Cunningham. And Laverne and Shirley will be with them. When you walk through the door it is like going back in time to "Happy Day's".

The menu is fun with the many choices such as the Blue suede shoe burger and the Big Bopper. The JalapeƱo fries are great and the homemade malts and milk shakes are amazing. If your not in the mood for a burger, the tuna melt is great or you can always go for the fried chicken or the fish and chips. There is even a vegie burger and vegie melt if you don't care to eat meat. The sweet potato fries are tasty and the onion rings are pretty good too.

If you come in on a Wednesday you will pleasantly surprised to find that the special is "buy one burger and get one for 5 cents". Even with out the special, the over all prices are really affordable making it a great place to take the family out to eat.

The service is great and the wait staff are upbeat and friendly. they are all in character as if they're back in the 1950"s. In fact, the staff from the manager on down to the wait staff with there funky name badges calling them Flo, Mitzy or Cadillac greatly contribute the over all feel of this family diner which is relaxed and enjoyable for the adults as well as the kids. If you enjoy eating good old fashioned food in a relaxed environment with a great fun atmosphere while the jukebox is playing a little Paul Anka or Johnny Mathis Gunther Toody's is where you will find the best Casual meal in Denver as well as a little good old fashioned nostalgia.

This sounds like a homely and welcome place to eat and spend time with loved ones, i wish there were some of this type here in London (UK) where i live.
