This article is about why we should stop bullying MLP fans.

Intro

I have seen that many people are starting to accept bronies and pegasisters, which I am glad now that the comment wars are over. A brony would compliment a video, some people agree, then someone will call them out for having a MLP avatar. This article will definitely be all about why not only this is pointless, but the real reason why we shouldn't even be picking on these people. Also, don't forget that you may have taken interest to a show, what if everyone hated the show that you watched? You would probably say "They don't even know how good this show is!" or "I don't really care if they hate what I watch." Also, I don't believe that I fully intereacted with someone that was a brony/pegasister. Also, brony means a male MLP fan, pegasister is a female MLP fan.

Why are they bullied?

If you have seen the show, My Little Pony, it is very obvious about why everyone constantly bully the viewers of the show. The show is usually seemed to be for little female kids, where it is all about magic, friendship, and mainly circled around girls. But grown males and grown females start watching them. People still believe that a adult female watching a little girl show, believe that they should grow up. Besides, some people have nostalgia of the show, and still want to watch it because it brings them memories. However, not a lot of people really agree with that, as it is literally the same thing as a old Atari, instead of buying/playing the new-gen. As of me, I really don't watch the show, but I have tried watching one episode. Sad to say, I didn't really get hooked into it.

How bad is it really?

As it seems, liking My Little Pony as a male/grown woman is literally almost the same status of being gay. Everyone will call you out, and people will start to think that you are weird. That isn't really how it should work at all, since some of us have watched shows that not many people of our age are currently watching. I have watched Power Puff Girls, but no one is judging me for it, so why does MLP have to be a special exception? Besides, the MLP fandom gets constantly bullied over it, and that is mainly why people of the MLP are receding. The mass bullying had forced them to stop watching the show, and it literally makes me feel VERY bad for them. Because when that happens, some of them may end up cutting themselves if the bullying is strong enough. Hopefully, no one suicided over the hate of that person watching MLP.

What can we do to stop it?

For me, I am currently trying to get the limited amount of people insulting the MLP fandom to stop insulting others over it. Therefore, there is a tactic that I would like to call "white knighting". This is really deemed a insult, where a person starts to defend a person that is currently arguing with someone else. I would definitely white knight any MLP fans out there, because they don't deserve to be disliked over what they like. What if a racial family came around and notice you didn't vote for Mitt Romney in the previous election? They would more likely debate and dislike you over voting Obama (If you did.) Gladly, my guess is that the fans of MLP will be considered normal members if you let a few more years go by. Soon enough, the arguments over liking a show can end.

Conclusion

I may not like MLP, or have even chatted with someone that watched the show (because they are so rare nowadays.), I believe that they all should be respected. Honestly, it takes tons of balls to literally still love a show, where 500 people already told you that they disliked you watching that show. Maybe their parents have said so, and many other people out there. Also, for all of those MLP fans out there, if you really do love the show, support the show as much as you can, as you guys are like my co-role models out there. (Of course I am not talking about the ones who easily left the fandom over people bullying them, I actually am a bit disappointed over those people.) In fact, I may not like the show that much, but to dedicate, I will watch one episode of MLP! (May not seem like a lot, but that is A LOT coming from me.)

NOTE: As of me watching an episode of the series, I have actually realized that the series wasn't TERRIBLE. I just didn't find a liking into it. However, one thing is that if I was 100% isolated from society, wasn't controlled by society, I would probably watch the hell out of this show.

A lot of people like it, because it's about friendship. Look how many adults enjoy manga and super heroes as well.

I never thought of that. Not sexist, but I am not really comfortable with tons of females. My brain automatically thinks that it is supposed to be for females. However, I had a hard time loving this show, because I had an interest in only action and adventure shows.

I love the power puff girls and I'm 38. Do you like transformers?

I used to like Transformers for its action. But it looks totally inferior when it comes to the other shows that I watched. However, I have loved Transformers with all of my heart at a young age. So yes, I actually like it. But it is starting to be butchered by remakes to the point where I literally forgot the main plot!

I see nothing wrong with loving PowerPuff Girls. I still love that show, too and I did remember when my mother would force me to stop watching that show. Mainly because she said that it was for "little girls". The thing is that, every single media should be for all ages and genders. But, society is a prick, and we don't even know if it will change.

I don't think R rated movies should be for kids. As for boy shows verses girl shows, no I don't think that's fair. Kids and adults can watch kid shows.
