One of the best ways to find new authors to add to your reading list is to pick up a book containing a collection of stories by various writers, and while I am not a huge fan of the romance genre, I found the stories in The Unquiet to possess other elements within them that kept me turning the pages.

The first installment, "Chaos in Death" marks the return of J.D Robb's Detective Eve Dallas & love interest Rourke to solve a series of brutal murders committed by a crazed killer. But this is not your garden variety killer~this one is more like Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde and Jack The Ripper got together and made a baby. This is an intense, fast-paced whodunit drenched in blood and gore. J.D. Robb at her very best.

The fours stories that follow: Her Greatest Treasure, Dear One, The Unforgiven and His Brother's Keeper are by far, tamer than the first tale in that they do not contain the type of violence. They are well blended stories that bring together the paranormal and romance in a most creative and haunting way. Themes including the loss of a loved one and how those that are left behind are helped past their grief with the aid of visitors from the other side are explored. Fans of paranormal phenomena and victorian romance will not only appreciate these intriguing stories stories of love that never dies, it will give them a very unique perspective on the after life via the eyes of these talented writers.
