Read on to find out why Game of Thrones did not bag even a single real award from Emmy's this year.

The show creators David and Dan have thrown themselves in their foot

When the show creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss were interviewed before the final and the tenth episode of the fourth season, they promised to deliver the best finale the world has ever seen. Although the episode was quite okay looking from non-book readers' perspective, it was the worst episode for those who have read the books.

Some Book Spoilers Included

I should warn you that what I'm going to write contains major spoilers from the third and the fourth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series - A Storm of Swords and A Feast For Crows. So if you aren't okay with that, please do not continue.

Night Gathers and My Rant Begins...

Tyrion and Jaime

How on earth does Jaime come out of the blue, have a 3 second conversation and flee Tyrion? This entire scene takes less than 10 seconds to complete and I'm shocked that episode writers cut out soooo soooo much from that plot. There was no mention given to Tysha - Tyrions first wife! No mention that Cersei hasn't been faithful to Jaime? Do the creators want us to know everything by ourselves?

Tyrion and Tywin - The Toiletbowl

Why this was the episode ruiner:
- Tywin was supposed to say "Wherever Whores Go". Book readers will understand this because it was one of the best things to happen in books.
- Tyrion was supposed to shoot Tywin in the belly, which would then cause Tywin to loose his bowel.
- That stench was supposed to let everyone know that "Tywin Lannister, in the end, did not sh-- gold". This GOLDEN LINE was the worst thing the writers should have cut

Brienne and the Hound

I had watched a video a few months back in which Gwendoline Christie (the actress who plays "Brienne of Tarth" says that the weirdest thing she had to do this season is bite off a man's ear and spit it in his face. Ever since I heard this, I have eagerly waited for this scene. Ninth episode came and went - but no. And from the promo of "The Children" (the finale), I feared it was our poor Hound - Sandor Clegane who might have his ear ripped off from his face. Oh lord, and it happened!

Lady Stoneheart

(This is a major spoiler)
Lady Stoneheart made a comeback in the epilogue of the third book and her re-appearance in the show would have made a perfect cliffhanger for this season. But no, the writers have cut a lot. In a recent interview, they also said that Lady Stoneheart will not appear in the next season as well. She's gone, and not for good. I'm so furious at this news that I'm debating watching the next season.

Okay, the rant is over. These are the things the show creators have cut from the books. Even if they wanted to deviate from the books, it was way too much. Moreover, HBO decided to nominate the same episode - The Children. One of the worst finale episodes was to compete with one of the best finale episode of Breaking Bad.

That's why it's pretty clear Game of Thrones did not win Emmy for the best drama, nor for supporting actor or actress although Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey did an A1 job.

Okay, rant is over. Thanks for dropping by!
