For me it is healthy and productive to always to use the social networks available online to promote our articles and other stuff. However, it is also important to write and to publish what we know and to remember who are our online audience - they are the Net surfers and search engine crawlers. They are the final judges to determine how effective are our published articles - they can help us make our articles viral online.

Sitemap my article subject garnered heavy traffic and views

At the time I started my blogging activities online with the different hosting sites like WordPress, Blogger, Weebly and other sharing revenue sites like Wikinut, Triond, HubPages and ExpertsColumn - to learn the importance of a sitemap was not my concern. I just loved to write articles containing different subjects and to publish them online.

However, at the time I started running my own Website, I had to learn the proper way how to communicate the search engines. And one of the ways I learned from SEO experts is to create a sitemap for my site. I also had to ask from my Google forum group - how to create a sitemap? And also I asked from them: How does sitemap works?

Sitemap tells search engines the organization of the site content

It is said that sitemap suggests visitors what page to hang-on found on that particular site and it also tells search engines about the organization of the site content. And the presence of a sitemap on Web site serves as a helping tool for online surfers and for the online crawlers to navigate easier from a Website page to another page content found on that particular Web site.

I also referred Wikipedia regarding this matter. The site has recorded two popular versions of a sitemap. One is a XML Sitemap which is a structured format that a user doesn't need to see, but it tells the search engine about the pages in a site, their relative importance to each other, and how often they are updated. Second is HTML sitemaps which are designed for the user to help them find content on the page and don't need to include each and every sub-page. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

Sitemap guides surfers, ways to communicates search engines

The above heading is the title of the article I published at Triond. It was published on January 17, 2015 at HealthMad, one of the publishing sites powered by Triond - after I revised its title as advised by Triond editors that said the title should contain at least three relevant keyword tags. On the first day of publication, the article garnered 562 views.

However, the next day January 18, 2015, the article received 10,907 views and then followed 11,171 views on January 19, 11,233 views on January 20, 12,202 views on January 21, 13,998 views on January 22, 13,720 views on January 23 and on January 24, 2015, it received 13,207 views, and as of this writing the article Sitemap Guides Surfers, Ways to communicate Search Engines garnered a total number of 86,104 views and it is still increasing.

The article shows the clear definition of a sitemap

On that article, I simply used some of the stand alone pages that includes short descriptions to tell my would-be visitors and online crawlers what every page is all about found at WikinutAwesome Web site and to show the mechanic and ways how to guide my visitors to a certain page content as well as how the Web site communicates search engines.

Of course, it really takes time to write it and to complete it. I had to re-checked every details specially for the back-links, photos and other information needed for my presentation as part of marketing strategy. The said article is still on its viral stage. For me it is already history because it is the first published article that garnered the highest views ever out of the more than 500 articles I had published at Triond since I started writing for the site in August 2010.

Honestly, I decided to stop to write for Triond

In the quarter of 2014, I decided to stop to write for Triond after I found out that most of the articles I published here have received only minimal views and traffic, added that the site has changed some of its writing rules and guidelines, such as: the approval time for the article submitted for publication takes it for three days and above and Triond editors have enforced its contributors to inject at least three keywords tags on every article title.

Of course, I understand that those new policies applied by Triond is to improve its site’s position on search results as well as to help attract online surfers and to improve its communication strategy with search engines and to avoid from the penalty of Google updates that until to date still on watching and penalizing sites that published plagiarized items or copied items from other authors and those sites engaged of cloaking practice to increase potential views.

Our online audience are the judges of our published articles

The life of our published articles will depends from our audience. Our audience are no other than the online surfers and the search engine crawlers. They are our online judges to determine how effective are the articles. For this reason, we should write what we know and we should always remember our audience. They would help us boost traffic and possibly make our articles viral online.

I am also suspecting the same Carolina - for me it's already history but on the other side, it is not normal. About the payment - as of this writing the recorded payment has reached so far to 164 dollar cents for the views of 86,202 which is too low compared to wikinut. Thanks for dropping by. Appreciated.

You mean wikinut can pay as much as $164? At the rate of things am quite apprehensive about the system here in wikinut...as of this wroting am still stuck on 3digits after decimal point after conversion is only Php4

As I deleted all of my content from Triond they actually gave me record numbers of views with come articles receiving 10,000 or more views after they had been deleted - clearly there was an accounting issue and I should have had those 10,000 views before. In deleting all articles I gained more than 100,000 extra views - clearly something was askew with the site's accounting practices.

Months back, I actually once used Triond. It was in March, where I was starting from a few views, to a few hundreds, then thousands, then ten thousands! This was because by comparing the quality of my article to others, I had better quality than the others. However, when I had realized those views died down, even though I kept posting articles, I was getting confused. My articles were beaten by articles that look like a guy whom had drunken one too many shots, and manage to get on the Featured and I didn't. Posting articles in a rapid succession, no views. I was lucky enough to get a dozen.

One thing that confused me was that one of my articles that I posted didn't get much attention. However, for no reason, it just blew up and made about 10,000 views! It was like a volcano, it was inactive, but it blew up in the middle of nowhere. Triond is practically, luck, but the revenue is so terrible it makes me feel bad for the site. Also why I quit, and it was another one of my "curse" scenarios. Every end of the month, I leave a writing website, but after every beginning, I always join a new one.

my last check Triond is on a free fall since January...now above 185k on alexa.com as compared from last year they seems to be thriving on a healthy rank of below 30k.
