The Sims are among series of life simulating game, boring at first but when you play for a bit, extremely addictive. The chances are huge that you did not like this game as soon as you started to play it, but eventually ended up playing for several hours, without taking a break. Now I am not a a big fan, but I do like it a lot and respect it for its achievements.

So what might be the reason?

1. Like every game, it is developed to be addictive, and like most games it is.
2. There is a eventual evolution of the character, loads of new items to unlock, and new stuff to experience.
3. It gives an opportunity to chose several lifestyles for your characters.
4. It is a game, and you have free time, now you have to complete it, but no, the Sims is one of the few games which does not end. You cannot win the game, and you do not have an ultimate goal. It is like a lifetime of an individual, live and die one comes and goes but nothing is achieved or nothing is lost. There is no Win or Lose in this game.
5. like most games it is interesting.
6. Gives you the ability to lead a life and grow, build more and watch your characters succeed or fail.
7. Lets you see different people, different believes with different lifestyles.
8. Gets regular updates and expansions, letting you add features to your fake world.
9. You can do whatever you can or can't in the real world.
10. It is a nice built, it takes advantage of great computer skills, extreme graphics and creates a combination to engage you, that is what all games are built for and aim to achieve.
11. It is just a simple and fun way of spending your free time.

Versions of Sims

In case you plan on trying this game, there are several versions, starting from The Sims, to the latest Sims 4.
Each game has several add-on and expansion packs. It is developed by Electronic Arts and even each game has several editions in which they are released. You can see reviews for which ones to choose, personally I prefer standard versions with most expansions installed, also, for some reason most of us choose to play a game in the latest released version, even though it might not be the best one, so yes new ones are also great.
