Wonderful Wines to Enjoy- Horse Heaven Hills 2014 Match Day Red

I’m back with my wine column after being absent for quite some time my dear friends, by being a bit busy with my Soccer Book project being on the works and in publishing God Willing on September of this year.
Anyway going back to one of life ultimate of delights, I give you this review.
Suddenly I stumbled the other day to a one of a kind wine that arouses all of my fandom to the Beautiful Game of Soccer.
I could not believe my eyes for the beauty in front of me with the logo and colors of my favorite Cascadia squad, the Portland Timbers.
With an amazing line of fine wines coming from Washington State, Columbia Crest winery dedicated this wonderful blend to the first ever Pacific Northwest representative that won the coveted Major League Shield.
As I root for my Timbers, I do too for the contents of this masterpiece of a wine product from one region making its way in giant steps in the world stage of fine wines.
I mean a blend of a dominant varietal that has found a natural home in these regions in the elegant Merlot followed by an exuberant and top notch Syrah and given a final touch with a bit of silkiness in its Viogner to pamper your taste buds.
A dominant varietal is the Merlot varietal proportioned to a 63%, Syrah 33% and 4% Viogner, creating a comfiture for your nose in the initial state of the nose with black fruits and cocoa aromas that make your taste buds melt and demanding its first taste.
As this Paterson, Washington based Estate offers the best in its H3 collection, meaning Horse Heaven Hills, where this wine originates from the mind and creativity of this winemaker and the product Mother Nature offers.
This 2014 wine benefited for the excess of sunny days, the varietals involved in its maturity to a wonderful point of its excess of sugars that delivered a one of a kind quantities of love courtesy of Mother Earth.
Some technical datum of this amazing wine loaded with a 14.5% alcohol contents also, it has a PH of 3.78 and an acidity of 0.56/100 ml and fruits exposed to 17 months in oak barrels to obtain its best, this wine for sure honors its heavenly moniker.
On any time you can enjoy this masterpiece of a red wine, alone or pairing it with foods of the like of American Barbeques especially brisket, carne asada, cabrito (grilled goat), grilled lamb, shish kabobs, vegetables, blue cheeses, duck Peking style and dark chocolate.
As its creator in his own words state, smooth tannins and vibrant finish which pairs perfectly with a Timbers win, Juan Muñoz Oca- Winemaker.
Well stated my friend as well the support and homage you give with this work of art to our flamboyant 2015 champions, the Portland Timbers, a must have wine in your cellars, Slainte!
If I Root, I root for the Timbers!

Drink with Moderation and Responsibly!
